Per a study published in the journal Integrative Medicine Research, inhaling the rich and warm aroma of coffee can lead to improvements in cognitive abilities such as sustained attention, better memory, and enhanced alertness. That means it causes you to urinate frequently flushing bacteria and toxins from the system. One other note: coffee, particularly black coffee, is a diuretic. In fact, the mere act of smelling it can also produce the wakening effect on your brain performance. People turn to caffeine to wake up in the morning and to stay energized throughout the day, but theres a downside: Too much caffeine can keep you awake.
